Two people are dead after a pair of fatal collisions over the long weekend.

A woman has died and a man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash in southwest Saskatchewan.

R-C-M-P say the 50-year-old woman from Maple Creek was involved in a collision with a vehicle driven by a 50-year-old man on Highway 21 north of maple Creek on Sunday evening.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man was flown by STARS air ambulance to Regina.

Highway 21 was blocked for several hours afterward while police investigated.

R-C-M-P say a pedestrian has died in a collision in northern Saskatchewan.

Police say they were called about the collision early yesterday morning in Grandmother’s Bay, but they haven’t released any other details.

They say they’re still investigating the collision.
