The Melfort Mustangs have swapped 19 year old Defencemen with the Whitecourt Wolverines.

The Mustangs have sent Andrew Liwiski and a PDF to the Wolverines in exchange for Jake Hobson.

Hobson spent the bulk of last season with the Wolverines where he tallied 6 points in 23 games to go along with 3 points in 11 playoff games.

The Prince Albert native has also played a total of 54 games in the WHL with Portland and Swift Current.

Liwiski came to Melfort in the trade that sent Drew Warkentine to the Lloydminster Bobcats in the AJHL.

The Mustangs open their season on Saturday night at home as they host the Notre Dame Hounds.
