Weather advisory for funnel cloud potential issued for the Northeast

A weather advisory is in effect for much of the northeast, with funnel clouds a possibility today.

Areas including Melfort, Tisdale, Nipawin, Carrot River, Humboldt, Wynyard, and Hudson Bay all under the advisory.

Environment Canada says conditions will be favourable for the development of funnel clouds into the early evening.

Meanwhile, Waskesiu, Narrow Hills Provincial Park, Cumberland House and La Ronge are all under a rainfall warning.

According to Environment Canada, rainfall amounts will vary significantly, but areas with thunderstorms could see 50 to 90 millimetres.
