Humboldt Broncos Make Dispersal Draft Picks

The Humboldt Broncos roster for the 2018/2019 SJHL Season is taking shape.

The league announced today the picks the team made through the dispersal draft where the other 11 teams were able to protect some players.

The Melfort Mustangs lost two players in the draft.

Forward Eric McNeilly, and Defenceman Ayden Third are now part of the Broncos organization.

McNeilly tallied seven points in 37 games with the Mustangs last season.

Third was a fourth round pick in the 2017 Bantam Draft.

As for the Nipawin Hawks, they lost forward Austin Mikesch.

The American managed 19 goals and 16 assists as a 19 year old rookie with the Hawks last season.

Other players selected include Connor Smith from the Battlefords North Stars, Bryson Cecconi from Kindersley, Shane Hounsell out of La Ronge, Ethan Kopyczyn from Melville, Ahmed Ally out of Notre Dame, Jessie Young from Weyburn, and Kyle Sargent from Yorkton.

The Estevan Bruins have made arrangements for their selection to be made in the future, while the Flin Flon Bombers received an exemption.
