The Nipawin Hawks played their last regular season game on Friday as they hosted the Battlefords North Stars.

The Hawks were the only ones to score in the first as Adam Beckman would score his first SJHL goal, followed by Michael Grant making it 2-0 with both tallies coming with less than 10 minutes left to play in the first.

Battlefords would add 2 goals of their own courtesy of Dylan Esau and Brad Girard early in the second period.

Michael Grant would give the Hawks the lead again at 12:59, but Brad Girard would score again for the Stars and things would be tied after two periods.

Things would get wrapped up in the third as Grant Baetsen would score shorthanded at 11:39 to make it 4-3.

Baetsen would add an empty net goal to make it 5-3, and that’s how things would end.

Jordan Simoneau and Thomas Lenchyshyn each added 2 assists for the Hawks.

The Hawks will now wait until the Survivor Series are completed to see who they meet in the Quarter Finals.
