RCMP are still on the lookout for various war medals stolen from the seniors hall in Asquith.

Thieves broke into the hall on Tuesday and took a TV, DVD player and camera, but more importantly stole several World War I and II medals on loan from local veterans.

The following medals were stolen:

World War II – Italy, France, and Germany campaign stars and medals, Memorial Cross
World War I – Memorial Cross and British campaign medal.

RCMP say the medals are precious family heirlooms, especially the Memorial Cross, which was given to mothers and widows of Canadian soldiers.

Call the Warman RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers if you have any information.
