The Melfort Mall was able to re-open by Saturday afternoon after a water line burst on Friday that lead to the temporary closure of the building.

Just after 6pm, Melfort Fire and Rescue responded to fire alarms ringing at the mall.

Firefighters shut off the alarm and sprinkler system to prevent any further water damage within the building.

The Mall was closed to the public until the sprinkler system was back to normal operation.
