The Nipawin Hawks returned home on Tuesday night after Saturday nights overtime loss to Flin Flon.

They welcomed the Bombers to the Cage for the divisional matchup.

Nipawin took control early, scoring 3 minutes in, courtesy of Daven Smith.

Jake Tremblay would score less than a minute later to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead, which is where it would stand after 1 period.

Michael Grant was the man in the 2nd period, scoring both of the Hawks goals in the period 6 minutes apart.

Christian Bosa would score his first goal as a Hawk less than 3 minutes into the 3rd to make it 5-0, and give the Hawks some more breathing room.

Calvon Boots would score with less than 8 minutes to play, but it wasn’t enough as the Hawks came out on top 5-1.

Elsewhere in the SJHL on Tuesday; Battlefords needed overtime to beat Humboldt, and Kindersley shut out Notre Dame.

Nipawin is back in action on Friday when they host Melville in the first half of a home and home.
