An early Christmas gift for the town of Tisdale.
The Buy Low Foods store, Tim Hortons, and Sobeys Liquor are all expected to open before Christmas, with the Buy Low slated to open December 1st.
Economic Development Officer Sean Wallace said the opening of the businesses means a lot for Tisdale.
“They represent some of the biggest growth Tisdale has seen in a few decades, the job growth we are looking at around 130 new jobs in the community as well as it is going to bring a lot more people to Tisdale seeing as we have the only Buy Low in Saskatchewan currently,” explained Wallace.
He added that the weather over the summer was a great help on the work sites.
“The projects from what I understand from the site superintendent they’ve been completely on time for the period for the build so that’s very good news that things are on schedule,” he said.
