The City of Melfort has a new Director of Community of Services.

Ryan Danberg who resigned from facility maintenance last month has been hired to fill the role that was vacated by Teri Scaife in August.

Mayor Rick Lang said they are happy to welcome Danberg back.

“When we put out the ads for that position one of the resumes we got was Ryan’s and of course we had been familiar with is work, he had done an outstanding job at facility maintenance, so he rose to the top of the applicants, it was that simple,” said Lang. “We’re happy to have him, and i expect him to do the same job in this new position as he did in his former position, which was an outstanding job.”

Lang said they are still looking to hire a new city foreman as well as facility maintenance manager.

The interview process has begun and both positions are expected to be filled by the end of September or beginning of October.
