The Nipawin Hawks would score a pair of powerplay goals but it wasn’t enough as the Flin Flon Bombers took game three of their SJHL Quarter-Final series 3-2 on Tuesday night.
The Bombers would get markers from Brandson Hein, Ethan Daniels, and Chrystopher Collin while the Hawks got both their markers on the powerplay from Brandan Arnold in the second period and then Josh McDougall late in the third.
Brenden Newton wold stop 37 of 39 shots on his way to the Bombers victory.
Declan Hobbs stopped 35 of 38 in the losing effort.
The series is now at 2-1 for Nipawin with game four going tomorrow back in Flin Flon at 6:30 Saskatchewan time.

In Humboldt it was game 3 of the Bourgault Cup series between the Broncos and Melfort Mustangs.
The Broncos were the first ones to get on the board, courtesy of Xavier Labelle early in the second, but the Mustangs responded, when Tyler Heidt scored with 30 seconds left in the frame.
In the third, the Broncos would pull away with three goals, including an empty net marker.
Kaleb Dahlgren, and Brayden Camrud led the way for Humboldt with a goal and an assist each.
Parker Tobin got his first start of the post season for Humboldt and stopped 27 of 28 shots, while Evan Plotnik would stop 23 of 26.
Game 4 will go tomorrow back in Humboldt with the series sitting at 2-1 for Humboldt.
