I figured I might as well post this now while it’s still fresh in my mind. I was quite impressed with the performances this year; some of them blew me away! Opening the show was Bruce Springsteen, and it was awesome! My mind went two way – was this going to be the performance of the night? Or was this the beginning of a great night? In my opinion it was great night!!!!! It was a an interesting combination to pair Rihanna with Cold Play but odd enough it worked, and I found myself dancing in my living room. Foo Fighters rocked the stage, as did Maroon 5 & Foster the People who busted out 2 Beach Boys songs, then what’s this the Beach Boys themselves hit the stage with Good Vibrations. The Beach Boys still got it – I was a little disappointed I didn’t see John Stamos with them. Let’s see who else was there, Paul McCartney doing a slow song that gave me goose bumps, also giving goose bumps the lovely Adele (who by the way cleaned up tonight) I seen a Rhinestone Cowboy, yes Glenn Campbell hit the stage in part of the Life Time Achievement Awards in which he was a recipient. Also receive an award, The Allman Brothers, George Jones and Diana Ross. Then came the part of the show that made me sad – the remembrances. I wont lie I cried, seeing all those from the musical world that we lost over the past year. I really think what broke me, was when Jennifer Hudson sang “I will always love you”, I lost it, so emotional and heartbreaking. One performance I could have done with out is Nicki Minaji – I just didn’t get it. As I sit and type this Paul McCartney is bringing down the house! Dang this guys knows how to close the show. Joined on stage with the Foo Fighters and Bruce Springsteen what a great way to wrap up the show. 2012 Grammys rocked and I loved them!!! Oh ya and people won awards too – here’s the list. Now if you will excuse me, this gal needs to her fill of Hoarders and My Strange Obsession.
