Upsets Yesterday At Men’s Lobstick

Match play continues today at the Men’s Lobstick at the Waskesiu Golf Course.

A number of the top seeds in the championship flight lost their matches on the opening day of match play yesterday.

Top-seeded Tyler Zaba of Regina was defeated by Cory Sawchuk of Prince Albert, the 32nd seed.

PA’s Danny Klughart, the second seed, did advance with a victory over Saskatoon’s Brad Phelps.

Third seed Keegan Boire also won his match in the championship flight, but the 4th and 5th seeds, Shaun Dunphy and Warren Gnam, both lost.

Last year’s champion, Ty Campbell of Saskatoon, also went down to defeat.
